Accounts, sign-in and connected platforms

How the free analysis, an Epoyo Account, and the authorizations for each connected platform relate to each other.

You can see what Epoyo does before any account exists. Paste your TikTok @handle and Epoyo reads what is public to work out what you sell, who buys it and what counts as a conversion for you. Nothing is stored against you at that point, because there is nothing to store it against.

What an account adds

  • Your own numbers instead of a reading of public information
  • Connected content and conversion sources, refreshed on a schedule
  • History, so a change is measured against something rather than guessed at

How connections are authorized

An Epoyo Account is one identity, and every connected platform receives its own separate authorization. Connecting TikTok does not give Epoyo anything from Stripe, and disconnecting one leaves the others untouched.

Every connection asks for read access only. Epoyo reads statistics and never publishes, edits, deletes or follows on your behalf. Disconnecting revokes the access that was granted rather than only forgetting it locally.

When a connection expires

Platforms expire authorizations on their own schedule, and some do it aggressively. When one lapses, the figures it fed stop updating and say so, dated by their last successful read. You will be asked to approve the connection again, and you get an email if it stays broken.

If you lose your password, use the recovery option at account.epoyo.com and keep access to the email address you registered with. Epoyo never receives your account password.

Common questions

Do I need an account to try Epoyo?
No. Pasting your TikTok @handle returns an analysis built from public information, with no account and no credit card. An account is what turns that into your own connected numbers.
Can Epoyo post to my accounts?
No. Every connection requests read access only. Epoyo cannot publish, edit, delete or follow on your behalf, and disconnecting an account revokes the access it was granted.
What happens when a platform connection expires?
The figures it supplied stop updating and are shown dated by their last successful read rather than silently going stale. You are asked to reconnect, and emailed if it stays broken.
